Puget Sound Indie Arts (PSIA) Art & Craft Show @ ArtWorks in Edmonds, WA
Saturday May 10, 2008 – 9:30am to 4:30pm

Oh Boy! There’s nothing better than a craft show. Well…unless that craft show is handing out FREE “swag” bags. Not just ANY swag bags either…these are totally Handmade Bags Stuffed FULL of Handmade Goodies from Puget Sound artists! The catch? Only the first 50 customers through the door will get one, so you’d better be there when we open at 9:30am!

Can’t make it to the show by 9:30am? Well, you’re in luck! Once an hour, we’ll be giving a “Super Swag Bag” away to a lucky shopper (you must be present to win).

Yep. That sounds like a winning combination to me.

If sewing machines could scream…
so many Tote2Go!s
…mine would be saying, “Stop the Madness!!!!”

With the help of 6 of my best-est friends (you know who you are!) I was able to create 100+ Tote2Go! Double Shoppers for this weekend’s NW Womens’ Show Green Living Expo at the Qwest Event Center (next to Qwest Stadium and across from Safeco Field), March 28 – 30, 2008 from 10am to 6pm each day. This show will mark the official launch of the Tote2Go! website: — one of my many “things to do” for 2008! Check! (love checking things off that list!)

Please come and find me upstairs on the mezzanine level in booth #198 sharing with (creator of the Tote2Go! logo and website) as well as a plethora of artists from all over the PNW thanks to Tarah of

What is Tote2Go!?
Tote2Go! tote bags are created using only recycled, repurposed and remnant fabrics. Each “Double Shopper” is actually a set of two tote bags that fit together and fold into their own handy pocket for easy shopping! The fabric choices are limited to what I can find and are always changing. (For instance: One queen sized sheet yields 2 to 3 sets of Tote2Go! Double Shoppers) I always do my best to minimize waste and use the entire piece of fabric whenever possible. Pockets, zip pouches and quilt blocks are all created from Tote2Go! scrap fabric!

New Tote2Go! “Double Shoppers”… January 15, 2008

Oh heck yes. I had a great time at the EtsyRain craft swap this past weekend and came home with much more Fan-tab-u-lous fabric than I ever imagined! Thanks to everyone who raided their craft stashes to give me more great stuff for my stash! Yay!

After the craft swap was over, Meghan (, Julie ( and our new friend Dale ( dropped off the leftovers to Goodwill and promptly went inside to find even more stuff! I think I was the only one to come out with a big bag of stuff…but I was able to make these super-cute Tote2Go! Double Shoppers with some of the cute fabrics I found in there:

Cute right?? I love these Tote2Go! Double Shoppers
Two single-ply shopping bags in one…Use as one bag or two!

I’ll post them to my Etsy shop as soon as I can get some good pictures of them when they’re unfolded!

Urban Craft Uprising This Weekend! November 30, 2007

Oh yeah…I totally forgot to officially blog about Urban Craft Uprising this weekend! Silly me.

Anywhoo — it is definitely ON this weekend! There’ll be 120 vendors including me with a half-a-booth full of my newest Tote2Go! designs. (Julie’s Common Object Jewelry will be in the other half!). I’m so honored to be a part of this show — I love everything about the concept and seriously…the quality of the crafts are always top-notch (if I do say so myself…hehe).

Do yourself and your holiday shopping list a favor and BUY HANDMADE this holiday! Supporting independent artists is the wave of the future, didn’t you know? Some of the best in the Pacific Northwest region will be at Urban Craft Uprising — December 1st and 2nd, 2007 at the Seattle Center Exhibition Center.

My My How Time Flies… November 27, 2007

Geez. I look up and next thing I know, Urban Craft Uprising is THIS weekend! Augh!!!! Once again, I am scrambling and staying up waaaay too late to try to make tons of inventory to take to the show. <sigh> When will I ever learn how to get this stuff done earlier?? Hmph. I have to say though, this pressure is making some diamonds out of my fabric stash! I already have 10 sets of double Tote2Go! grocery bags and a *ginormous* red and green floral tote that took me all afternoon to make! It ended up a lot bigger than I had originally planned, but it really turned out great! The last thing I finished tonight was a super-long handled purse/tote2go — it’s totally cute…black with mustard/brown/green stripes on it and pockets all over the place. I wouldn’t be too sad if that one didn’t sell this weekend…hehe.

The weather is a little crappy right now (Seattle rain!), so I can’t take any decent pictures of the new stuff just yet…but I did recently list these totes in my Etsy shop:
